Sussex Singing

A wonderful group of singers meet twice a month in Brighton to sing from the Sacred Harp.

On the second Friday of the month, they meet at West Hill Community Hall on Compton Avenue, less that 10 minutes walk from Brighton station. They meet from 7.45 pm – 9.45 pm then head to a nearby pub.

On the last Wednesday  are held at One Church on Florence Road, just 1 minute walk from London Road Station, Brighton. They meet from 7.30 pm – 10 pm (singing starts at 7.45) with a break, then head to a nearby pub.

Beginners and experienced singers alike are always welcome and you can come and go as you please. Contact Sarah if you have any questions.

There is a very friendly Sacred Harp house singing in Lewes, on the second Monday of each month, from 7.45 pm at Rachel and Nick’s:

All are welcome.
The 28/29 buses from Brighton leave Churchill Square at 19.00 and 19.30 and stop a short walk away from Valence Road at the Prison. You can also get the train and it’s a 20 minute walk through Lewes to the house.
